I am so glad you have registered for this year’s virtual Write His Answer Conference!
For the past two months, I’ve been encountering serious technical issues that even 40 plus hours with AIs and live techs who took remote control of my computer could not fix. My computer crashed, and Windows had to be reinstalled. I still haven’t gotten all my apps back.
Because of the intensity of the spiritual battles, I have NO doubt this year’s Write His Answer Conference (the 68th conference I am directing) and the words you will write and publish are a threat to the evil one. Friends, Jesus never promised it would be easy to follow Him. He has promised that “all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans” (Rom. 8:28 TLB). I know He is using the obstacles I am facing to strengthen my faith muscles. It’s not easy or fun, but “overwhelming victory is ours [is mine and yours] through Christ who loved us enough to die for us” (Rom. 8:37 TLB).

Round tables – These are great opportunities to meet our faculty. You’re encouraged to pop in and out of rooms rather than stay in one room the entire time. I’m working on updating last year’s round table chart and will let you know when it is available so you can plan. Round tables, the same as the appointments, are not recorded.
Small group breakouts – You will automatically be dropped into a room with several others twice a day. This is a great way to make new friends.
Critique groups – Be prepared to paste the first 50-100 words of your work in progress in the chat to get helpful feedback Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoon. If none of the 27 groups (9 each day) are the genre you’re writing in, pick the closest one and attend just to listen. I guarantee it will be an exciting learning experience.
Show your face – live! Seriously, we encourage you to fully participate in the conference. Faculty presenting sessions will appreciate seeing your response rather than just your picture on the screen. Also, please put your first and last name with your picture by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of your picture on the Zoom screen.
Use the chat to make new friends. Be sure to add your contact info including your website or blog. And don’t forget to SAVE the chat at the end of each session. Use the three dots at the top of the chat sidebar (sometimes they are at the bottom) to download to your computer. At the top of the Chat sidebar, the blue square Write Icon will allow you to chat with the whole group or select one person for personal chats.

Author’s Night Friday – Plan to participate Friday evening. Have a copy of your book close by. Be sure to include the cover, a summary, and ordering info in the space provided in “Your Writing Family.”
Encourage your friends to register. They can register even after the conference has started! If they can’t be with us all three days, remind them that for the add-on fee of only $59, 100+ hours of video replays can be accessed from early August through the end of the year. Only conferees can purchase the video replays. Scholarship help is available.
More on videos. If you did not purchase access to the video replays when you registered, you can still purchase access for $59 through June 20. After the conference, the price increases to $89.
Pray before and during the conference for the presenters, staff, and other conferees. And for yourself. During the conference, visit the Prayer Room for a daily prayer and encouragement.
