Conference Prayer - God’s Preparation
Heavenly Father go before me today. Prepare my heart and mind for all I will see and hear and experience. Open my eyes and ears to take in the presentations, the information, the new ideas You want me to assimilate. Help me make connections with those who can help me and who I can help in this writing journey.
Prepare me to receive Your revelation, direction, instruction allowing me to think outside the box I may have created for Your purpose for this time in my life.
Let me lay down any attitude that focuses on what I don’t know and can’t do and show me what I need to know and how it can be accomplished. Bring me role models and mentors and people to walk alongside me who will be like iron sharpening iron.
I put on the Helmet of Salvation, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace. I take up the Sword of the Spirit and my Shield of Faith and link it together with the others at this conference to form a virtual wall that will protect each of us and allow us to advance against the enemy, whatever form it takes.
Thank You that You have brought me here, and prepared me for an amazing experience where I can hear from You. I make my requests and offer my thanks in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Armor Prayer
Helmet of Salvation and Belt of Truth
Heavenly Father I praise You and thank You for the Spiritual Armor You give me to protect me in the spiritual battles that You allow into my life filtered through Your fingers of love.
I place the Helmet of Salvation on my head, bearing Your insignia, to remind me in whose armor army I fight. Father let it guide and guard, direct and protect my thoughts, my fears. my desires; everything that goes into or comes out of my head: what I think, see, hear, smell, taste, touch, and speak.
I tie the Belt of Truth around my waist that helps me recognize lies, half-truths, deceptions, misdirection, and falsehoods when I hear them. It helps me see those thoughts or ideas from the evil one, the world or even my own flesh, for what they are. I take them captive to You, reject and throw them down – and replace them with Your truth from Your Word so I am not deceived or misled.
Thank You that Your Armor is the BEST! And for equipping me to fight in Your name. I take my stand in Your mighty power! Amen

Conference Prayer - God’s Purpose
Lord God, I honor You as the Creator of the universe and all that is in it! And I thank You for making me fearfully, wonderfully and uniquely. I acknowledge that You have given me gifts and talents, abilities and experiences which I desire to use to bring You glory. And as one of those is writing, I thank You for this conference, and bringing me here.
I again put on the spiritual armor You give me: The Helmet of Salvation, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace and I take up my Shield of Faith and Sword of the Spirit. I ask You to open my eyes, my ears, my mind, my heart and my spirit today to hear from the Holy Spirit about the purpose you have for the unique way You created me. In this conference, help me make connections, receive instruction, and gain Your perspective on my life and how writing fits into it.
Show me how You are already at work in my life so I can work with You. Or show me where You are already at work somewhere else, and stir my heart where You want me to join You there. Use the Keynote speakers, the Faculty instructors, any Appointments, Round Tables, conversations, other conferees, or personal time I take for prayer and refection during the conference.
Build my faith to give me the confidence I need to trust in Your purpose, in Your timing, and in Your plan. Show me the steps I need to take to get there. Do not let me shrink back from the work I need to do. And do not let me rush ahead of You.
Conferences can be overwhelming. Help me take in just what I need to for this time, focusing on what You put right in front of me and draw my passion to. I will not compare myself or my gift to others. You have a unique purpose for me and I will embrace and rejoice in that.
The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me. Psalm 138:8 ESV Amen!

Armor Prayer
Breastplate of Righteousness and Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Lord God, I use the Belt of Truth to tie and anchor the Breastplate of Righteousness in place. It repels projectiles that evil one launches at me and protects my heart. It allows close in sword strikes to glance off my armor.
Thank You that it is Your Righteousness that covers me. I am well protected because You lived the perfect, sinless life I could not.
I place my feet in the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace. Guide and direct my path. Be the Light that lights my way so I can see if there are pits the enemy has dug, or nets they have laid to trap me. If there are obstacles in my way, help me over, under, around, or through them.
Do not let me run ahead of Your timing. And do not let me lag behind. Help me leave goodness and mercy in my path to help others who come after me.
Thank You that Your Armor is the BEST! And for equipping me to fight in Your name. I take my stand in Your mighty power! Amen

Conference Prayer - God’s Presence
Holy Spirit, thank You that you are with me all the time. Open my awareness to be able to sense Your presence with me in real and tangible ways as I move through the conference. Quiet any ungodly or negative voices – even the ones in my own mind. Help me embrace all You show me and not do anything to quench Your influence or what the Holy Spirit says to me.
Once again I put on the spiritual armor of God: the Helmet of Salvation, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace and I take up my Shield of Faith and Sword of the Spirit.
Let Your presence dispel any ungodly influences that are at work to undermine or discourage me. And encourage me, by renewing my strength and healing any past issues that would keep me from embracing all that You have for me now.
Help me tune in to what You are saying to me, how You are speaking to me, whether through presentations, personal interactions, prayer, worship… Give me discernment to know which sessions to attend, making note of any others You lead me to so I will be sure to follow up and watch those later.
Orchestrate my meetings, chats, connections and make me aware of any “Divine Appointments” which are opportunities to be in the right place at the right time to hear or see or meet someone or something that will benefit my writing or my walk with You. Thank You that no matter how I “feel,” I “know” that You are with me and will never leave me. Let that truth overcome every other emotion seeking to discourage me. I give You praise and thanks, my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Armor Prayer
Shield of Faith and Sword of the Spirit
Jehovah Sabaoth! God of Hosts! I take up my Shield of Faith. Strengthen it with memories of Your faithfulness and protection for me in the past. Help me kneel to rest behind it when I need to rest. And help me lift it up in strength as I move forward to push the enemy back, repelling the attack and the flaming arrows he would shoot at me.
Thank You that I can link my shield with others as we form a wall to move against the enemy in strength, together.
I take up the Sword of the Spirit, Your Living Word! To fight against the enemy who is repelled and wounded at even the sound of Your precious name: Elohim! Adonai! El Shaddai! Yahweh! Jehovah! Lord Jesus Christ!
Help me learn scripture that I can shout out at the devil and make the demons flee! Your Word is a mighty weapon. And I will speak it aloud as an attack against the enemy.

Conference Prayer - God’s Power
Lord Jesus Christ, I once again put on the spiritual armor and pray with the Helmet of Salvation, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the shoes of the Gospel of Peace, the Shield of Faith and the Sword of the Spirit providing my offense and defense. I stand and pray in the power of the blood You shed on the cross, and in Your name, the name above all names.
Heavenly Father release Your power in me to accomplish all that You have shown me and will continue to show me about Your purpose for the gifts You have given me. Empower me to be the writer You created me to be. Let Your anointing power refresh, renew, and revitalize my commitment to use this gift You have given me for Your glory!
Give me an understanding of all the things I need to know. And direct me to the people I need to reach out to and the sessions I need to watch to receive that instruction. Empower me to have discipline to watch those sessions, review my notes from the sessions I attended, and follow up on contacts I need to make so I follow through on all You have shown me in directing my path.
I trust that what You have called me to do, You will equip me to do, in Your timing. Make me bold to take the next step You show me. Bring people into my life who can help me and who I can help.
Father, You have overcome the world, and Your victory is mine. The enemy may come after me, but I will keep my focus on You. You are bigger than any enemy, so I will not fear.
Let all that You have shown me in this conference and impressed on me, stay with me when the conference is over, and be a defining point in my writing, and in my life. Praising You, in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Renewed for God’s Power – Encouragement

All was dark and dreary I could not see the light
Sadness all around me nothin’ was goin’ right
I picked up a Bible and tried to hold it near
There I found a message I really needed to hear

Armor Prayer
Prayer after Success
Heavenly Father, I am giving You praise! Thank You Father for holding me together through the Conference. You prepared me… You protected me… You were Present with me, guiding me and giving me the strength, courage, and the support, I needed.
Thank You for the Victory won simply because I came and endured and finished! The Victory that I listened for You and am open to Your leading.
But just because the Conference is over, doesn’t mean the spiritual battle is.
The enemy will come against me even in Victory! He has strategies to make me feel as if I didn’t do all I could, or that I don’t deserve what comes from the Victory, or to make me doubt Your care for me.
The evil one will try to make me feel I no longer need the protection of Your Spiritual Armor after a battle is over. The truth is that even now, I need to keep putting on the Spiritual armor every day – as long as You remind me to.
It can be a short version, but remind me to put it on, nonetheless. And to ignore those other voices I may hear. When the devil tries to slip in those negative thoughts, remind me the Helmet of Salvation and Belt of Truth will help me reject those thoughts altogether and help me enjoy the fruit of my Victory! Amen
