Contest 2022

More than just a contest . . .

Prayerfully write about one of the following:

  • What does “Write His Answer” mean to you?
  • How did God call you to write His answer?
  • What have you found to be “His answer” in your life—in the struggles you’ve faced as you try to live His answer?
  • How is God speaking to you as you seek to write and live His answer?

The contest entry fee of $10 for each submission will help support future Write His Answer conference scholarships.

Guidelines:

Prose: 500-800 words

Poetry: a 12-30 line poem

Email your submission:

  • Type your name, address, the title of your entry, and whether you are published or not-yet-published in the body of an email.
  • State which free eBook you would like us to send you once your entry and payment have been received. You will receive only one free eBook regardless of the number of entries you submit.
  • Do not put your name on your entry—just in the body of the email.
  • On your entry note whether you are a published or not yet publisher writer.
  • Attach your entry (without your name) to your email.
  • Put WHAC Contest in the email subject line.
  • Email your entry or entries as an attachment in an email to Debbie Hardy at dahardy6600@gmail.com. In the subject line put “WHAC Contest.”

Deadline for submission is August 5, 2024.

Only registered conferees may enter.

The $10 entry fee (for each submission) may be sent when you register or you can mail a check for $10 for each entry to Write His Answer Contest, 951 Anders Road, Lansdale, PA 19446.

The first-place winner in each of the four categories will be announced at the conference and will receive a certificate suitable for framing in addition to $100 off their registration fee for next year’s Write His Answer conference.

How will the entries be judged?

  • Published and not-yet-published writers will be judged separately.
  • Entries must say something about writing or living God’s answer. Judges will set aside entries that do not follow this guideline.

Each person who sends an entry may choose one FREE eBook. You are only eligible to receive one eBook, regardless of how many entries you submit.

NOTE: In submitting your entry, you are offering the conference one-time rights to publish your entry in a future devotional book (no date yet determined). Submission is no guarantee that your entry will be chosen for publication. Contributors will receive one free copy of the book when it is published and a discount to purchase additional copies. Profits will go to the scholarship fund. You may submit your manuscript elsewhere (before or after the conference) as long as you do not sell all rights.

We’re excited to see how God is calling you to write and live His answer.
